Our experienced chefs will welcome you into our family-run kitchen and teach you everything you need to know to make delicious loaves at home, hassle free.
The class is entirely hands-on, and you will get a real taster for bread making. Our aim is to help people understand food, to move away from the cook book- so you can easily recreate the bread we make in the class at home, with the insight into bread making, that ou have learnt in the class

Our family-run cookery school puts its emphasis on creating relaxed and fun classes! Our aim is to teach people to understand food, to move away from the recipe-book, so they can whip-up delicious meals from whatever they find in the fridge!

She infamously taught at The Grange Cookery School for seven years before The Avenue. As the absolute driving force of the kitchen, this Mother Duck engages and educates her students with undying character and warmth. With a knack for trailblazing twists on classical dishes, Diana simply loves food and is identified for her delectable culinary creations that will amuse and delight your palette

Richard is Diana’s son, making The Avenue very much a family affair. His previous experience has included Chalet Hosting, prestigious Corporate Events and working as a chef in the South of France. Richard is a self-confessed Foodie, with an interest in modern cooking techniques. His flair for experimental cookery will certainly broaden your culinary horizons. Working extremely hard to share his enthusiasm with the students and push out the traditional boundaries, he is the youth and energy in the Kitchen.

Course programme

Make ‘bread bricks’ a things of the past and learn how to make a lovable loaf as well as key knowledge on different flours, yeasts and techniques. Leave our Bread Class with the confidence you need to start making your own bread at home!

We will also demonstrate how to cook Diana’s very own recipe that requires no kneading. It is a quick loaf which tastes delicious – trust us it is dangerously moreish!

At the end of the Bread Class you will be able to take home your creations to enjoy with others or with a pat of butter or a bowl of soup .

You will also leave with your own recipe cards so you can re-create the delicious loaves!
