Bricklaying Certificate in Basic Construction C & G 6219-08Course ContentEntry Requirements
The City & Guilds Bricklaying Certificate Basic Skills programme is a practical based bricklaying skills course.

There are some underpinning knowledge questions to back up understanding and these have to be answered by the candidates. These can be answered orally if required and recorded in writing by the tutor. Candidates will build many types of walls, ranging from half brick walling to brick and block gable ends.


To achieve the Level 1 Certificate in Construction Skills (Bricklaying) (6219-08), learners must achieve a minimum of 15 credits, 3 credits from the mandatory unit and a minimum of 12 credits from the optional units, of which 6 credits must come from units 102,118-121.


There are also options from which the candidate must build at least two, these range from chimney-stacks to arches and include brick inspection chambers.
