Course programme

What will I study?
  • How to mix and spread mortar, lay brick and block
  • How to differentiate between types of brick and block bonds
  • Develop trowel skills and be able to construct block, solid and cavity walling
  • Learn about construction technology and the construction process
  • Work on projects that are constructed within acceptable tolerances
  • Functional Skills in maths and English (for those who have not achieved GCSE grades C or above in these subjects)
  • Develop Functional Skills in IT
