Generic units such as scaffolding appreciation, construction drawing and building craft science are also included. This level II is completed during the first year of a 4 year apprenticeship. ROUTE 1
Apprenticeship
(Undertaken in conjunction with college based training): This is the more familiar route from school leaver to tradesperson. The learner attends college for a total period of 20 weeks, normally this consists of 10 blocks of 2 weeks attendance throughout a year's duration supplemented with similar periods of â€OEon site training.
ROUTE 2
Experienced Workers:
This route addresses the need to develop the skills of the more mature person (normally 25 years and older). Course content is similar to Route 1 - shorter apprenticeship in total.
