Who is the course for?
Students who wish to promote communication between deaf and hearing people.

What is the course about?
Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language is designed to enable students to develop the skills gained in BSL stage 1 to allow them to communicate freely with deaf people using sign language. It also provides students with information about deaf people, the deaf community and deaf culture.

Will I need anything else?
No specialist equipment required.

How long & often do I attend?
Students attend class once a week.

How will I be assessed?
This course is assessed through practical external examinations.

What opportunities will this lead to?
Sign Language skills are an increasingly valuable asset in employment, particularly in roles involving communication with the public or for those working in the care sector.
