British Sign Language - Level 1

By the end of the course students should be able to understand and express themselves in BSL sufficiently well to:

• Address, greet and take leave appropriately.
• Identify relevant data and facts from simple and commonly used expressions to meet day to day requirements.
• Ask for and provide information appropriate to the context and in a way that can be clearly understood by a deaf sign language user.
• Identify and take appropriate action from simple instructions.
• Seek clarification and confirmation when needed appropriately.
