BSc Business and Management with Communication Studies (EFL)

This honours degree programme combines core modules from the Business and Management programme with the Communication Studies (EFL) programme.
At no point in recent history has there been such an exciting time to study the dynamics of business and its role in the global environment. Much of the early part of the Business and Management programme is focused on understanding the various external driving forces for change and the internal responses necessary for business to survive and prosper. The programme provides a blend of theoretical and practical study, never losing sight of employers’ requirements and students’ career aspirations. The Business and Management programme aims to equip graduates with analytical and decision-making skills relevant to career development in the wider business context.


The EFL minor is taken by students for whom English is a foreign language in their home country (such as China or Japan). The EFL minor consists of modules which have a dual function: each module provides its own English language studies focus (for example, Interpersonal Communication or English in Society) as well as providing English language improvement opportunities both for general and academic purposes.


The combined honours programme is designed to develop skills in solving business problems that are transferable organisationally and internationally across business environments.
