This is a one year top up degree taught at Canterbury College and awarded by the University of Kent It is designed to be a progression route for students who have successfully completed the HND in Applied Animal Science or equivalent award

The six modules studied will be selected from:
- Animal Adaptations
- Clinical Animal Behaviour
- Pathology and Immunology
- Conservation and Wildlife Heritage
- Animal Reproduction
- Anthrozoology
- Clinical Animal Science
There will also be an independent research project which will undertaken alongside the taught modules
How will I be assessed?Assessment is by coursework projects, essays, presentations and examinations
What may it lead to?Employment in the animal science sector Students may also wish to progress to postgraduate study
Entry RequirementsYou will need at least a Merit grade at HND in Applied Animal Science or other relevant discipline or a Foundation Degree with a value of 240 credits
Additional Information & Other CostsAccess to well-equipped laboratories and an animal centre You will have as much practical involvement with animals as possible and a number of trips and activities are organised each year There will be an additional cost for any trips
Delivery is through lectures, seminars and tutorials, normally over three days a week
