A-level English and Maths with grade C minimum.

Course detail
During this course you will:
Build the skills needed to tackle modern secure systems in an industry context.
Gain a practical understanding of the issues relating to design, analysis and implementation of modern secure IT systems.
Develop an appreciation of commercial and open source cyber security equipment, software and services based on industry standard technologies.
Learn management and applications central to cyber security issues
Develop the interpersonal skills and business acumen needed to succeed in the field.
Foundation year
The foundation year provides a firm grounding in the underpinning skills and knowledge needed, and introduces the subject of analytical mathematics and software development, in particular, students will do software development projects through the module of Applied Project.

Year one
The first year will focus on introducing cyber security. This will give you a fundamental understanding of the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the field.
You will also study Computer Science modules to cover the fundamentals of computing including essential aspects of programming and algorithms, software engineering, mathematics and computer architectures.

Year two
In your second year you will move into specialist modules in cyber security. You will gain a solid understanding on the key topics of cyber security whilst studying the following modules:
Applied Cryptography
Distributed Computing
Mobile Application Development
Network and Security
Web and Mobile Application Security
Cyber Security Team Project.
You will continue computing modules to develop skills in analysis, design and development. You will also gain valuable team-working skills during a team project, focusing on cyber security topics.
Year three
In your final year, you will focus on specialised, advanced cyber security topics. This gives you the freedom to shape your degree to your interests and career ambitions.
Your final year project will see you design and develop security-centric projects for enterprise.

Advanced Topics in Cyber Security
Cyber Security Project.
