About the course
You will develop your understanding and ability to successfully coach individual athletes and teams, learn the physiology, psychology and biomechanics of sports performance and discover how sport science can enhance the coaching process.
You’ll be able to specialise through units in Physical Education, strength and conditioning, diet and nutrition, sports psychology and performance analysis, and have the chance to further develop your CV by accessing a range of national governing body (NGB) coaching qualifications.
The programme of study has been specially designed so that graduates can progress directly into a working environment. The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) automatically approves graduates of the programme for Level 2 Gym Instruction in year 1 and Level 3 Personal Trainer in year 2.
