BSC NVQ for IT Users

Course summary:
It is comprised of Optional Units such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation graphics and email amongst others, as well as a Mandatory Unit that pulls together the skills and knowledge from these at the end. Two work-based tasks are required for each optional unit, four of which are then used to produce more detailed evidence for the mandatory unit.

Optional Units e.g. Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Presentation Software (PowerPoint), Email, Art & Imaging

Mandatory Unit

Course structure:
There are 3 possible routes:

Fully evidence-based (assessed) optional and mandatory units
Prior achievement of optional units & assessed mandatory unit
Examination for optional units & assessed mandatory unit

Assessment procedure:
Optional units either assessed by means of work-based tasks against set standards or through ECDL examination depending on route chosen.

Mandatory unit assessed by work-based tasks against set standards.

Qualifications achieved:
Full Level 2 NVQ
