Course programme
During the course, students will be taught by an experienced and enthusiastic team of both PE and outdoor education practitioners, who are committed to providing a quality experience that will enable the progression of students to effective and employable graduate. Students will gain valuable experiences on placements, have the opportunity of working in both primary and secondary school settings, as well as a range of outdoor settings.
Students have the option in their second year of spending an exciting semester abroad with one of our partner universities.
Assessment takes place using a variety of methods; essays, presentations, teaching assessments, practical performance assessments, examinations, projects, group work, practical work experience and independent research.
Passes at A to C in four GCSE subjects including English and maths plus:
Mature students without formal qualifications, who have worked in or have relevant experience in the outdoor leisure industry, are particularly welcome to apply.
There are also numerous opportunities for you to supplement the course with a range of National Governing Body awards, ensuring that you extend your knowledge and understanding further.
