Who the Course is For:
The Advanced Diploma is aimed at qualified individuals who work in the engineering industry who want to achieve a HNC or Foundation Degree to enhance prospects for promotion or improve job prospects. The course is suited for skilled Electricians or Technicians who are required to enhance their engineering principles and mathematic skills before progressing onto a HNC or Foundation Degree.
Assessment:
By coursework, assignments, practical investigations and phase tests.
Course Leads To:
This course will gain direct access to the HNC or Foundation Degree programmes in Engineering.
Entry Requirements:
C&G Level 2 or 3 qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing or Communications engineering or equivalent professional engineering trade qualifications at Level 2 or 3. Mature students who hold the required entry requirements for a HNC or Foundation Degree but who need to enhance their academic skills or have been away from education for a while and need to refresh their current knowledge. All applicants are required to attend an interview prior to enrolment.
