Course Progression: The First Diploma in Construction is a building block to enable progression onto a L3 National Diploma in Construction.

Careers Progression: This programme offers the learner the opportunity to develop the knowledge required to enter employment in the industry at technician level.

Course Description:
This course is aimed at school leavers who want to
start a career as a Building Technician but have not
achieved the required qualifications.

Description Breakdown:
The course gives an overview of construction process
and provides an in-depth look into all aspects of the
industry. The majority of the course is based in the
classroom and covers subjects such as the science
of building and the technology needed to build.
Fieldwork includes an introduction to site surveying and using modern surveying equipment.
You will be expected to undertake independent
research and written work to develop your skills.
The programme includes site visits to enhance
understanding and learning. Minimum attendance requirement of 90%.
