2. Course description This course is for anyone working as or planning to become a fully qualified teacher in further, adult or continuing education. It gives trainees the opportunity to: develop knowledge related to teaching and learning develop skills in and learn about teaching, training and tutoring achieve a nationally recognised Level 5 qualification. Through this qualification you will build up credits at level 4 and 5, to achieve your diploma. At HCC you have the opportunity to take the folowing units: Mandatory Units (Total 20 credits at level 4; 55 credits at level 5) Unit 1. Developing Teaching, Learning & Assessment in Education & Training Unit 2. Teaching, Learning & Assessment in Education & Training Unit 3. Theories, Principles & Models in Education & Training Unit 4. Wider Professional Practice & Development in Education & Training Optional Units (15+6 credits at level 4; 30 credits at level 5) Unit 13. Developing, using & organizing Resources in a Specialist Area Unit 21. Inclusive Practice Unit 33. Working with Individual Learners Unit 32. Using Study Skills Approaches & Techniques to Enhance the Learning of others (additional optional unit)
