The aim of the qualification is to give learners the opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of a range of skills with relevance to the area of construction. The course is designed as an introduction to the work place and will help you develop the skills you need to work in the construction industry.

In addition there are 2 specialist units: Introduction to Motor Vehicle Care and Maintenance and Health and Safety in a Workshop and 1 optional unit: Producing a Product. All students will study English and Maths as part of their course.
Course Format: Learners are assessed through a portfolio of evidence when the learner is ready. Units are assessed by a formal written assignment for each unit which will be both internally and externally verified.
