BTEC First Diploma Art & Design

Commitment to Art & Design plus portfolio of work. Minimum of 3 GCSEs (grade A-D) but this may be waived subject to portfolio and interview for international and mature applicants.

This is a broad introductory/diagnostic course in vocational Art & Design areas including Graphics; 3D Studies; Textiles; Fine Art, Photography and Fashion. The course is designed to build a worthwhile portfolio of artwork in preparation for progression onto a specialist subject course. The course is project based, which is continually assessed throughout the year. It covers four core units and a choice of two specialist units:
