ONE-YEAR PART-TIME COURSE (TWO DAYS PER WEEK)
This course involves a large amount of practical hands-on work, so that the student becomes familar with a range of electronic components and systems together with basic electronic circuits, computers and networks. Much of the paractical work will involve building, testing, measuring and recording typical circuits found in everyday products. These topics will be backed-up with support in Key Skills in Number, English and IT. Successful students may move on to more Advanced Electronics, leading to Higher National or University degree.

CAD TECHNIQUES IN ENGINEERING

ASSESSMENT: There will be practical course-work assignments and/or short answer tests for each unit, which will be graded PASS or MERIT or DISTINCTION. Retakes will be possible if you need additional help or time or if you have special learning needs. The Working Practices unit will be tested by an externally assessed assignment.
Full credit (APL) can be given for existing skills and previous experience at work when suitable evidence is supplied by the student.
