If you have a keen interest in Media and have less than four GCSEs this course is for you.

How long is this course for?
1 year full-time
What will I study?
The BTEC First Diploma in Media consists of three core units plus four specialist units.

Core units

• Introduction to Media Industries
• Research for Media Production
• Introduction to Media Audiences and Products

Specialist Units studied may include:

• Video & Audio Production
• Advertising Production
• Animation Techniques
• 2D Computer Games

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through completing assignment work in each of the units, which will involve practical projects. There are no written examinations.

What can I do after the course?

You can progress directly to employment or alternatively to a BTEC National Diploma in Media which is equivalent to three A' Levels.
