Travel and Tourism - BTEC First Diploma
What will I study?
This course will help students to develop a basic knowledge of the Travel and Tourism Industry. Students will be able to explore the employment opportunities that are available in Travel and Tourism. The course consists of eight units which are delivered over eight or nine week learning blocks.

How can I progress?
Students can progress to higher qualifications in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, or should they wish, to other subject areas. Any progression will be subject to a satisfactory recommendation from the course tutor.

What will I need to qualify for this course?

Course Structure
In order to gain a full BREC First Diploma in Travel and Tourism these units will be studied; *Investigating Travel & Tourism This unit explores the UK travel and tourism industry. *Customer Service in Travel & Tourism This unit looks at the role and importance of customer service in travel and tourism. *UK Travel Destinations This unit examines the various types of destinations and visitor attractions in thr UK. *Marketing Travel & Tourism This unit looks at the role of Marketing and promotional techniques in travel and tourism. *European Travel Destinations This unit explores the winter and summer tourist destinations across europe. *Planning visits and Itineries in Travel and Tourism this unit involves students planning their own visit, usually to a theme park.
