Overview

You will receive professional guidance to develop your knowledge, understanding and basic practical skills, relating to all aspects of grooming. You will be taught by professional instructors in the specialist grooming salon with practical demonstrations and theory.

Topics covered:

  • history of animal development, domestication and breed development;
  • breeds of small animal species kept as pets and their associated breed societies;
  • reason and requirements for grooming animals; and
  • groom small pet animals.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements, however you must have a keen interest in animals particularly dogs. You must be prepared to commit to 100 per cent attendance. Good basic numeracy and literacy would be an advantage.
