Course Content: This course is designed to prepare you to work within a broad range of careers in the Health and Social Care sector. Throughout the course you will study 18 modules in total. Modules include:

· Communication

· Health and Safety

· Diet and Nutrition

· A range of science subjects including Anatomy and Physiology

Special Features: The course is made up of 10 Core units and 8 Specialist units. There is also 300 hours of compulsory placement during the course.

Progression: Once you have successfully completed the course you will have the opportunity to progress on to Higher Education. Students progress on to a wide range of courses including:

· Paramedic Practice

· Physiotherapy

· Podiatry

· Midwifery

· Nursing

· Occupational Therapy

You may also directly enter the workforce with your qualification in such roles as Nursing Auxiliary, Operating Department Assistants, Podiatry Assistants and Assistant Practitioners. Further study may be necessary for some occupations.
