Course Description
The BTEC Higher National Diploma is a course of study suitable for the Technician Engineer who is or is expected to be involved in design, specification, purchase, installation and maintenance of building services equipment.

The course is offered on a part-time basis and is a conversion which extends over a further year of study.

The acquisition of the Diploma will then allow access to a BSc (Hons) Degree in Engineering.

Course Entry Requirements
All learners will need to complete a part-time Higher Education application and interview prior to enrolling.

Students can access this qualification by holding a current HNC Building Services Engineering Qualification.

Course Progression
BTEC Higher Nationals in Building Services Engineering once gained enable students to progress onto BSc (Hons) Degree in Integrated Technology or other University Degree courses.

Course Career Prospects

• To gain promotion into higher management within individual companies in the building services sector. To gain positions such as Building Control Surveyor, Building Project Manager and Building Services Engineer.
