About this course

Although no formal qualifications are required you will need to:- Complete an initial assessment before you start to ensure that you are working at a minimum entry level 3 in Literacy and Application of Number, to make sure this is the right level for you. Course Content:
There are 3 mandatory units as follows. Starting Work in Health and Social Care; Working in Health and Social Care; Developing Skills in Health and Social Care. You will also choose additional units from the following. Personal Effectiveness; Social Responsibilities Work; Looking After Children; Images of People; Exploring Local Services.

This qualification offers continuous assessment with 1 external assessment.

Progression:
Successful students have progressed onto BTEC First Diploma in Care or NVQ Level 2.
