Description of the Course
The course is made up of eight units: three core units, two compulsory Personal Skills units and three vocational optional units. The optional units enable you to study particular areas in more depth.
The qualification is designed to develop a range of employability skills and techniques, understanding, personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in working life. The course will also develop learners' ability in IT through effective use and combination of the knowledge and skills gained in different parts of the qualification.

Who is the course for?
The course is designed for those who wish to gain practical 'hands on' IT skills in the context of real jobs.

Entry requirements
An average of Grade D in your GCSEs including English or successfully passed a vocational Level 1 programme with a merit or distinction grade. In addition, for all our learners, we usually use the results from simple tests which measure skills levels for communication and numeracy. If you do not have the required entry qualifications there will be an opportunity for you to demonstrate your abilities to undertake the course.
