Course Content: This course offers a specialist qualification investigating various aspects of sports performance and sports employment. By means of theoretical and practical study, you will learn about the Industry, the body in sport and the preparation to take part in sport.
The units you will cover are:

· Personal effectiveness
· Social responsibility
· Organising a sport and leisure event
· Issues in sport and leisure
· Taking part in sport
You also do basic skills in Communication, Number and I.T.
Special Features: All books are provided free, but students need to provide their own stationery and sports clothing (uniform is mandatory at a cost of £90). Additional trips, activities and courses will be made available throughout the year. The course assessment is assignment based, with students able to achieve at pass, merit or distinction.
Progression: Progress on to First Diploma in Sport (must obtain a Merit overall)
Employment in the Sports and Leisure industry.
