The BTEC Introductory Diploma in Sport and Leisure is made up of eight units. You will study three core units, two personal skill units and three specialist units.

The core units are:

· Starting work in sport and leisure
· Working in sport and leisure
· The healthy body.

The two personal skill units are selected by the College from the
following:

· Personal effectiveness
· Social responsibility at work
· Financial management.

The three specialist units are selected by the College from
the following:

· Organising a sport or leisure event
· Issues in sport and leisure
· Taking part in sport
· Introducing customer service.

You will be given the opportunity to achieve additional qualifications
alongside your main course. These will include qualifications in Functional Skills and can also include more specialist awards that are relevant to the subject you are studying such as the Certificate in Exercise Studies.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed continuously during the course through a range of assignments, investigations and practical assessments. You will also undertake work experience and complete a work-related project.
