Units studied might include: Acting Skills, Dance Skills, Physical Theatre, Devising Plays, Dance Performance, Individual Performance Project, Musical Theatre, Business in the Performing Arts, Jazz Dance, Contemporary Dance and Community Theatre. We believe that it is important to support you so that you can pursue a future in the performing arts, so the course will include helping you to improve and develop your communication skills with additional Functional Skills (English & Maths) qualification study. You will receive group and individual tutorial support to keep you on track and if needed additional learning support is available.

This is a 1 year, Level 2 Performing Arts course and expects participation in all three main general areas of the performing arts: Dance, Drama & Singing.
- Performance of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’
- Community arts project in which Level 2 students taught drama workshops to young people with learning difficulties
- 100% pass rate on the new online exam
- Visits to see ‘The Scottsboro Boys’ and ‘Othello’
- Masterclass with TV and film actor Colin Salmon
- Enterprise project in which students create their own performing arts business venture
- 8 week work experience placements
