BTEC Level 3 Diploma in IT

You will study 3 mandatory units Communication and Employability Skills for I T Computer Systems Information Systems Plus the following subjects Digital Graphics IT Technical Support IT Systems Troubleshooting and Repair Developing Computer Games Installing and Upgrading Software Database Design Computer Game Design Organisational Systems Security Website Production You will develop your functional skills in English and Maths or study these at GCSE In addition to studying your main programme you will follow a course to improve your English, maths and employability skills. All the programme units are assignment based. Keighley College A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above ideally including Mathematics and/or English or equivalent (Level 2 Functional Skills), a Higher Diploma (which is equivalent to 7 GCSEs at Grades A* C, NVQ2 or level 2 Diploma at merit grade with ideally Maths and/or English at minimum Grade C or equivalent (L2 Functional Skills). The course will give you the opportunity to progress on to a HND/Foundation degree in areas such as Computing, Multimedia or Computer Game Design/Development. The qualification is also excellent preparation for a career in many branches of the computing industries.
