The Academy aims to guide young musicians into the music industry by promoting professional practices and attitudes. Our courses give our musicians the theoretical and technical knowledge to be able to progress onto higher courses and into the industry with confidence in the knowledge that they know what they need to do to succeed. Suitable for: This course is aimed at new musicians who have not yet had any significant training in their instrument, but know they would like to make a living as a professional musician.

About this course
For the Level 2 course, 2 x GCSEs in Maths and English are required. The learner will be required to pass a simple instrument audition.

Course programme
Course review:
This course will start off musicians at the beginning of learning good technique on their instrument. Preparing for progessing onto the BTEC Level 3, the Instrument Specific weekly classes will teach basic chords, scales, lead and rhythm guitar. You will learn basic musical theory, Production techniques on Pro Tools, Performance technqiues, about the Music Industry and how to organise and stage gigs.
