BTEC National Diploma / BTEC National Certificate Why should I study Business at Cardinal Newman College?Results are outstanding and amongst the best in the country, with fabulous pass rates and high grades. The department also boasts a Principal Examiner for Applied Business, Examiners for A Level Business Studies, Economics and Accounting and External Verifier for Applied Business, an examiner for Foundation and Intermediate Vocational courses and an examiner for the Certificate in Financial Studies.Our team of teachers have written textbooks, case study material and numerous articles for students. What is BTEC Business worth?
This qualification is a two year programme of study and is equivalent to two A Levels (if taking the National Certificate) or three A Levels (if taking the National Diploma). The BTEC is a coursework based qualification and is designed to provide specialist work-related qualifications in a range of sectors. Students would normally take additional AS and A Levels alongside their BTEC course.

The BTEC Nationals provide progression to BTEC Higher Nationals or any business related degree. They also provide good preparation for employment in many different areas and career development opportunities.
