Course Progression: The course gives a licence to practice in a child care setting, and carries UCAS points for those wishing to progress to Higher Education.

Careers Progression: The course allows people to work in a supervisory role within a child care setting, eg: Nursery Manager, as well as in schools with children up to 8 years.

Course Description:
The course will focus on all aspects of children's care, including: education, development, practical, assignment work and a work placement. The course is for adult learners who have relevant qualifications and/or experience at Level 2.

Description Breakdown:
You will take core units including: positive relationships for children's care, learning and development, positive environments for children's care, learning and development, promoting children's development, reflecting on and developing practice for children aged 0-8yrs, safeguarding children, promoting children's rights, children's learning activities and play.
You will also be taking specialist units which include: research methodology for children's care, learning and development, promoting well being and resilence in children, diet and nutrition for children, psychological perspectives on children's behaviour, supporting children's numeracy and literacy skills. modern beliefs and religions for early years practitioner and meeting additional for children's care, learning and development
