All students can add to their main programme of study by taking part in a wide range of clubs, groups, societies and courses. Not only are the activities fun, they also develop skills and provide new and fulfilling experiences, as well as enhancing applications to Higher Education and employment.

This is a practical, work-related course. Students learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

Stanmore Sixth Form College reserves the right to select appropriate specialist units depending on available College resources. Unit selections and programme presentation subject to change.
Students will require an overall Merit profile to progress to Advanced Level study.
Additional Studies
Students will have the opportunity to gain coaching qualification along side their academic studies.
Study Skills
As part of Stanmore Sixth Form College's excellent support network, Literacy and Numeracy support is available to any student enrolled on a course, depending on the student's individual needs (determined during Induction by an assessment). Support is provided through the Skills for Life Study Plus Programme. Students can attend either one-to-one or group sessions in a friendly, stimulating and supportive environment.
Research Skills
Students will be entered for a Level 2 qualification in ICT as a means of improving their computing and presentation skills.

All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded Pass, Merit or Distinction. The Diploma is equivalent to 3 A Levels.
