Course Content:
The course is made up of 18 units - Main components of the course are: Fundamentals of Science, Scientific Investigation, Medical Physics Techniques, Mathematics for Science Technicians, Working in the Science Industry, Criminology, and Criminal Investigations Procedures.
Progression:
BTEC qualifications are recognised by employers and may enable progression to a career in a forensic laboratory, laboratory research, scientific technology or academic laboratory work. Alternatively students may progress to university to take a degree in Forensic Science, Forensic Science and Biological Anthropology, Biochemistry & Forensic Science or Psychology & Forensic Science.

Continual assessment through a range of assessments including: investigations, practical work, reports, presentations, posters and portfolio.
