Information about the course

Throughout the course student work is project based, with each project having clear objectives and a definite deadline. As the course progresses the projects become more involved and aim to develop a portfolio for students which is suitable for application to study at Degree or HND
level, or in some cases for application direct to work. During their time with us, students will be given the opportunity to explore all areas of graphic design and related fields, including identities, editorial design, advertising and publicity, illustration, and packaging. In addition, students will also study the main computer software applications used in graphic design,
creative photography, historical and contextual studies, practical research skills, and receive detailed information on application and progression to higher education. At all times students receive one-to-one support and guidance from trained professional staff, including a personal tutor. The course aims to develop students’ creative ability, encouraging them to explore all the possibilities of graphic design and develop individual approaches and presentation skills in a vocational framework.
