If you have achieved any of the following and want to gain a qualification equivalent to three 'A' Levels, then this course is for you.
You will need:

The BTEC National Diploma in Construction consists of six core units plus twelve specialist units.

How will I be assessed?
All units are assessed and graded, and an overall grade awarded for the qualification.
The National Diploma programme equates to 3 A Levels.
Grades given are:
- Distinction (equivalent to Grade A at A Level)
- Merit (equivalent to Grade C at A Level)
- Pass (equivalent to Grade E at A Level)
Candidates are assessed in each unit and the resulting grades are collated to produce a 3 grade classifications E.g. Distinction, Merit, Merit, which allows direct comparison with A Level Grades. An integral part of the course is the Essential Skills Literacy programme which is mandatory for all students not holding a Grade C or above in their GCSE English. Such students will be assessed on entry and allocated and appropriate Essential Skills target level to support them in eventually achieving their GCSE English.
