Content You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace scenarios. As well as learning about the Construction Industry, you will develop the skills you need to start a career in the technical or management side of the industry. You will study a range of core and optional units which look into aspects of health and safety, construction science, materials, technology, design and environmental studies. There will also be the opportunity to study AutoCAD as part of this course and Key Skills will be part of your final qualifications.

Additional Costs
There is an administration and enrichment fee of £30. You will also need to purchase some basic PPE for site visits which will consist of safety boots, high visibility jacket and hard hat.

Assessment
The main course has no exam. Each unit has a number of assignments that must be completed, which are graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction. The overall grades from each unit are combined to give you a final grade which can be transferred into UCAS points.

Progression This course will prepare you for entry into employment in a variety of fields within the Construction Industry at technician level or to higher education programmes in building, civil engineering, architecture, surveying, land management or quantity surveying.
