Special Features: Throughout the two years you will be working and learning in â€-Reflections Restaurant, a restaurant located within the college which is open to the public and so, provides students with the skills and experience needed to work within the industry as well as working to your advantage when looking for employment in this area.
You will also participate in trips and visits to hospitality events/organisations, educational study experiences abroad which will reinforce your learning experience whilst participating on the course.
Course Format: An 18 unit based programme (Diploma) or 12 unit based programme (Certificate), which enables you to experience a range of teaching and learning styles, from lectures, to group discussions, and interactive sessions using IT facilities. All units are assessed and graded with an overall grade for the qualification awarded.
Progression: There are a variety of other routes that you can take to start your career in the hospitality industry. Your choice of pathways includes opportunities in trainee management and supervisory positions based in hotels, restaurants, fast food outlets, licensed trade, events, cruise liners, cabin crew, contract catering, and the forces.
Alternatively, you have the opportunity to progress onto higher education qualifications such as Higher National Diplomas, Foundation Degrees and Degrees in related areas, some of which are available at the college
