About this course
You will need at least 5 GCSEs in the A*-C range, preferably to include Maths and English, or an appropriate Level 2 qualification such as a NVQ 2 in Professional Cookery.

· Applied costings for hospitality.
The optional units are selected by the College and could include:
· European cuisine
· Food and beverage service operations
· Accommodation operations
· Front of house operations
· Food and beverage service organisation
· Customer service in hospitality
· Marketing for the hospitality industry
· Human resources
· Chinese cuisine
· Themed event planning
· Hospitality small business start-up
· Conference and banqueting operations
· Quality in hospitality.
You will also be given the opportunity to study for additional qualifications in Numeracy and Literacy as well as more specialist awards relevant to your subject.
How will I be assessed?
This qualification is primarily assessed through coursework, which includes projects and presentations, however, culinary units such as European and Chinese Cuisine, will also include a practical assessment.

On successful completion you may:
Progress to a degree level course in hospitality and catering management.
Or
