About this course
You will need to have: 4 GCSEs at grade A - C (including Maths and English or Key/Basic Skills level 2) or a BTEC First Diploma or GNVQ Intermediate in IT (Merit) or similar level 2 IT qualification or other suitable qualification with related work experience.

Year 1: You will study 9 units including: Communication and Employability Skills in IT(Core) Information Systems (Core) IT Systems Analysis and Design (Core) Mathematics for IT Practitioners Principles of Software Design and Development (Core) Web Server Scripting Digital Graphics and Computers Object Orientated Programming Computer Animation Year 2 includes: Computer Systems (Core) IT Project (Double) Communication Technologies Client Side Customisation of Web Pages Developing Computer Games Human Computer Interaction Event Driven Programming (Core) Website Production and Management
Progression:
Successful students can progress onto the Foundation Degree in Software Development (FdSc) or HND in Systems Support or BSc Degree or alternative HE at university or HE institution or employment.
