The BTEC National Diploma in Media Production is a focused vocational qualification for learners who wish to study aspects of media industry and production and who are considering future employment within this area. It designed to give an insight into many areas of the media production and investigation and a â€OEhands on approach†to making media products.

What will I be doing?
You will complete 18 units over the two years. The course will focus on film and TV production, scriptwriting, advertising, music video and documentary making. During the course you can expect to visit TV studios and screenings, make your own videos, produce your own TV programmes and improve your communication skills.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed on the basis of your practical work and will be expected to produce a portfolio containing your work relating to video production, media theory and multimedia assignments.

Where can I go after completing this course?
After successfully completing the course, which is the equivalent of three A-levels, you will be able to go on to a number of degree courses or enter employment within the media industry.
