BTEC National Diploma in Media Production Level 3

This is a hands-on practical course with some theory and is ideal for anyone who is thinking of a career in the creative media industry. This could include broadcasting, journalism, video production and filming
Entry RequirementsFive GCSEs at grade C or above (including English Language), as well as an active interest in the media and a successful interview.
Course Content
Students are introduced to a wide range of media skills and are also encouraged to undertake work experience. This course is equivalent to three A Levels.
Modules may include:
·Video and radio production·Drama and news production·Graphic design and animation·Professional practice/work experience·Critical approaches to media·Writing for TV and Screen
This is a two-year full time course where students attend college for four days a week.
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed via regular ongoing coursework assignments.
What can I do next?
The course can lead on to a Foundation Degree in Broadcast Journalism or Commercial Video Production at the college or other related Higher Education courses.
