What you will learn

What's it worth?
The National Diploma is equivalent to 3 A-levels.
Progression
This course gives students a way to progress to Higher Education or onto the job market. Job opportunities include the broadcasting industries, video and sound production and the film industry.
Progression within Confetti includes the Foundation Degree in Digital Video and Broadcast Production.
Day to day experience
Working often in small production teams you will gain experience and a good working knowledge of the latest techniques in using cameras, lighting, location sound-recording, graphics and editing. You will have the opportunity to work on your own initiative and within your creative team to write and produce work contributing to your final major project.
Time commitment
This is a full-time course, lasting 2 years, and you will spend a minimum of 12-hours at Confetti each week and in addition to this you will be expected to complete some coursework in your own time.
Funding
The National Diploma is free for all students under 19 and for most other students. International (non EU) students will be expected to pay fees. Students can continue to claim benefits whilst on the course. Some bursaries are available for assistance with travel and course costs.
Validation
The course is validated through Castle College by Edexcel.
