About this course
You will need at least 5 GCSEs in the A*-C range, including English Language and Maths, or an appropriate Level 2 qualification such as a NVQ Level 2 or BTEC First Diploma.

· Impact and sustainability in outdoor adventure
· Environmental education for outdoor adventure.
The specialist units are selected by the College and could include:
· Skills for land-based outdoor and adventurous activities
· Skills for water-based outdoor and adventurous activities
· Alternative pursuits for outdoor adventure
· Sports coaching (outdoor)
· Exercise, health and lifestyle
· Sport as a business (outdoor)
· Work-based experience in sport (outdoor).
You may also be given an opportunity to study for a number of short
qualifications including Functional Skills.
How will I be assessed?
This qualification is assessed by coursework which includes projects, assignments, presentations and practical activities.

On successful completion you may:
Progress to a higher education course such as the Foundation Degree in Uniformed Services or Sport (Coaching), which are run by Weston College in partnership with the University of the West of England and the University of Bath respectively.
Or
Start a career in the outdoor industry. There is a wide range of career paths that you can follow in the outdoor industry that are amongst some of the most challenging and rewarding careers available.
Achieving this course will give you the equivalent of 3 A Levels
and will provide entry to study at degree level.
