The BTEC National Diploma in Public Services is delivered by a team of Lecturers from the Armed Forces, Emergency Services and Public Sector working environments.

· Physical Preparation and Fitness for the Uniformed Public Services
· International Perspectives for the Uniformed Public Services
· Outdoor and Adventurous Expeditions
· Skills for Land-based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
· Skills for Water-based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
· Crime and its Effects on Society
· Command and Control in Uniformed Public Services
· Uniformed Public Services Employment
· Understanding the Criminal Justice System and Police Powers
· Understanding Behaviour in Public Sector Employment

The course is enhanced by Functional Skills ICT and will also include:

Visits to/from local public service providers to enable you to gain a further insight into the world of Public Services. You will be encouraged to work in groups, to communicate effectively, to identify and resolve problems and to organise yourself and the work of others.

Assessment Throughout the course students will complete a number of assignments for each unit of study.
