Yes, if you're mad about sports and want to prepare for a career in a sports related industry. BTEC National Diploma in Sport and Excercise Sciences is designed:

• to provide opportunities for you to achieve a nationally recognised vocationally specific qualification
• to prepare you for a range of careers in the sport and related industries
• to provide you with specialised studies which are directly relevant to individual vocations and professions in the sport and related industries in which learners are currently working
• to provide you with a science related sport and exercise qualification to enable progression to graduate and postgraduate studies with a view to entering careers in the sport and related industries.

The BTEC National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Sciences leads to you developing a range of transferable skills which will raise your employability. These include high level skills, which will also prepare you for a wide range of careers beyond the sports sector, for example: armed forces, emergency services, general management, sales and marketing.
This is a 2 year full time course.

What do I need?
5 GCSEs, two must be science & English language at grade C or 1st Diploma at merit level & English Language grade C or equivalent, or BTEC/GNVQ at intermediate level or above.
Acceptance onto some courses may be subject to a satisfactory police clearance. Further guidance will be given by the course team at interview or induction.
A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to studying on this course, a number of factors will be taken in to consideration.

The course comprises core and option units studied over a period of 2 years.

• Sport Industry Experience

All students following full time courses will be expected to develop their skills in English, Maths and ICT.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is in the form of completed assignments but may also take the form of presentations, research programs and simple tests. You will complete an IVA (Integrated Vocational Assignment) which will be externally assessed during the 2nd Year at college.
