About this course
Grades A-C for 4 or more GCSEs (Science and English essential, PE desirable) or you will have successfully completed a level 2 programme. You may also be asked to demonstrate your commitment and skills in an interview. If you dont have the required entry qualifications there will be an opportunity for you to demonstrate your abilities to undertake the course.

All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded.

BTEC National Certificates are valued by employers and higher education (universities and colleges). You could progress into Higher Education to study a BTEC Higher National or Degree, or you can go directly into employment.

You will also have the opportunity to achieve the Sports Leaders UK Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership. Visits
You will have the opportunity to experience residential outdoor adventure visits, which aim to develop your teamwork, communication and leadership skills.
