Course Structure
In order to gain a full BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism these units will be studied; All students take the six core options: *The Travel and Tourism Industry, *The Business of Travel and Tourism #, *Marketing Travel and Tourism Destinations #, *Tourist Destinations, *Customer Service in Travel and Tourism, *Working in the Travel and Tourism Industry. # denotes a unit assessed via an Integrated Vocational Assignment {IVA}. Students also take twelve specialist units which cover; *Retail Travel Operations, *Passenger Transport Issues for the Travel and Tourism Industry, *Handling Air Passenger, *Roles and Responsibilities of Holiday Representatives, *Hospitality Operations in Travel and Tourism, *The Appeal and Importance of UK Visitor Attractions. All units are assessed and graded, and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded.
