Is it for me?
Yes if you want a career working in the Public or Uniformed Services such as Police, Fire, Paramedic or Armed Forces. You'll develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success in employment in the public services at officer or operative level, or for progression to an undergraduate degree or other higher education provision.
This is a 2 year full time course.

Where will I study?
Baltic Campus
You'll be based at our fantastic £39million Baltic campus on the quayside. The campus has a prime location on Gateshead quayside, and state-of-the-art facilities including a Jacuzzi, gym and sauna, a 200 seat theatre, state-of-the-art classrooms, training kitchen and restaurant, refectory, bistro and vending areas.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is in the form of completed assignments but may also take the form of presentations, reports, research projects and simple tests.
How will I be taught?
Mainly classroom based, student centred activities.

BTEC National Diploma in Public and Uniformed Services
Can I go on to further study?
On successful completion of this course you can either move directly into employment or choose to study a foundation degree at college or a degree on an HE institution.

You can look for employment in the Police, Ambulance service, Fire or Prison Service, or the Armed Forces at officer level.
