BTEC National in Uniformed Public Services (Certificate and Award)
BTEC National in Public Services provides students with an opportunity to explore the uniformed services such as Police, Fire, Ambulance, Civil Service and the Army.

What is the difference between the Certificate and the Award?
The BTEC National Certificate is equivelant to two A Levels and
therefore, occupies two of your four option blocks.

The BTEC National Award is equivelant to one A Level and therefore, occupies just one of your four option blocks. Both courses operate over a period of two years, which means that students are unable to drop this subject after the first year like traditional A Levels.

How is this course assessed?
This course is assessed purely through coursework (100%). On the Certificate, students will complete 6 units of coursework in each year of the course. Award students will only study 3 units of coursework in each year.
